Sub:       Change in designation of sorting postman –  Implementation of Directorate’s order dated 12.07.2011 – Case of Bhoinagar SO under Bhubaneswar Division and other such offices

Sir,
This has a kind reference to Postal Directorate’s letter No. 25-20/2008-PE.I, dated 12.07.2011 directing the concerned authorities in the Division to decide the number of Postmen to be put on the Beat Sorting job on the basis of existing norms with restoration of sorting Postman redeployed or abolished, if any.
But as known to this union, some post offices in Head Quarters Region in general and Bhoingar S O in particular under Bhubaneswar Division has not yet implemented the said order in spite of clear   instructions from the Directorate, Circle and Divisional Head as well.
As such, this union would like to request you to kindly intervene in the matter immediately and see that the instructions of the Directorate issued vide its letter referred to above as a commitment to the Staff Side on national level in connection with the proposed Indefinite Strike commencing 5th July 2011be implemented in letter and spirit and the existing sorting postmen staff are allowed to continue as usual by the concerned authorities.
A line of reply on the nature of action taken is highly solicited.

With regards.
Yours faithfully,

( Debabrat Mohanty )
