Sub: Publication of advertisement for empanelment of Agents for sale of Postal Life Insurance/ Rural Postal Life Insurance Products for the FY 2013-14.
Please refer to this office letter no. cited above regarding Engagement of Direct Agents of PLI/RPLI for the financial year 2013-14. As like last year 2012, centralized advertisement for empanelment of Agents by Divisions is being issued by this office to be published on or before 4thJuly, 2013 in local newspapers (The Samaj, The Dharitri and The Bima Chronicle (Bhubaneswar).
The date fixed for “ walk-in-interview” to be conducted by SSPOs/SPOs in their offices is on 18.07.2013 at 11.00hours. A copy of advertisement to be published is enclosed for reference.
You are requested to take necessary action in this regard at your level accordingly. This advertisement for “walk-in-interview” may be displayed in Notice Board of all offices of IPs/ASPs, HOs, SOs & BOs in the Division for wide publication. Efforts should be made to fill up all the DAs at one go without extending it to subsequent months of the calendar year.

Walk-in-Interview
for empanelment of Agents for sale of
Postal
Life Insurance/Rural Postal Life Insurance Products.
Interested candidates fulfilling the
conditions below may attend “walk-in-interview” for empanelment of Agents on
commission basis for sale of Postal Life Insurance/ Rural Postal Life Insurance
products in various Postal Divisions in Odisha. The empanelment is provisional
for a period of twelve months to be extended up to 3 years on acquiring
certification by passing examination conducted by IRDA accredited Institute on
own cost.
2. Sr./ Supdt. of Post Offices will
conduct “ walk-in-interview” in their respective divisions for empanelment of
Agent in their office on 18.07.2013 at 11.00hours. Candidates who have already
applied in response to Divisional level advertisement in this regard need not
apply afresh.
3. Candidates may come with their
bio-data, proof of age / educational qualification / required certificates and
experience, if any, for the interview.
4. The requirement of Direct Agents in
each division for 2013-14 is as follows.
RPLI= 30 PLI= 20 Total=50
5 .Eligibility Conditions:
a. Qualification: 10th Pass if
the candidate reside in an area having population of less than 5000 and 12th
Pass for other areas having population of 5000 or more.
b. Age:
18 to 65 years.
c. Categories:
·
Person having a viable source of
livelihood such as salaried persons/ pensioners etc as PLI/RPLI Agents.
·
Self-employeed
educated youth having a source of income.
·
Ex-servicemen,
Anganwadi workers, MahilaMandal worker
·
SHGs
functionaries, Panchayat Sanchar Sewa Kendra worker etc.
·
Any
intending person fulfilling other conditions such as experience of selling life
insurance products, knowledge of handling computers, having a good
communication skills, conversant with local area & population.
d. Desirable:
Experience in selling Insurance Products, knowledge of computers/ knowledge of
local area.
6.
Intending candidates may contact local Postal Division Office of their area
beforehand to make themselves aware of other terms and conditions of
empanelment to judge their suitability for the engagement.
