LOW PRESSURE AREA OVER SOUTHEAST RAJASTHAN AND NEIGHBOURHOOD ON 03-09-2014

Information on  Low Pressure Area over Southeast Rajasthan and Neighbourhood:

 Yesterday’s low pressure area over Northwest Madhya Pradesh and neighbourhood now lies over Southeast Rajasthan and Neighbourhood at 0830 hours IST today, the 3^rd September, 2014. Other low pressure over Saurashtra & Kutch and adjoining Northeast Arabian Sea persists over the same area today. Moreover, a cyclonic circulation extending between 5.8 and 7.6 kms above sea level lies over Northwest Bay of Bengal and Neighbourhood today and under its influence, a low pressure area may form over Northwest Bay of Bengal and Neighbourhood during next 48 hours. 

Forecast :   Rain/Thundershower would occur at  most places over  Odisha during next 24 hours. 

Heavy R/F Warning:  Heavy to very heavy rainfall would occur at one or two places over districts of North Odisha during next 24 hours.

Advice for hoisting Storm Warning Signals:

NIL

Likely impacts and actions:    Gusty surface wind speed reaching 30 to 40 kmph gusting to

50 kmph may prevail along and off Odisha Coast. 

Fishermen Warning  :-   Fishermen are advised to be cautious while venturing into sea.
