Getting one’s personalised stamp has just become easier; a sheet with 12 stamps costs Rs. 300.
Getting one’s personalised stamp has just become easier. The Department
of Posts has introduced the facility to order ‘My Stamp’ online.
Until now, customers had to visit the Philately Bureau on Anna Road to
order for ‘My Stamp’ – an initiative for people to have their images
printed on stamps. The postal department has issued over 10,000 sheets
of ‘My Stamp’ in the last two years. A sheet with 12 stamps costs Rs.
300.
Customers can log in to www.chennaipost.gov.in and order the stamps. Customers can choose from multiple designs as themes.
Customers have to print the application form, fill it and send a scanned
copy by mail to chennaiphil@gmail.com along with a copy of the photo
identity and address proof and a soft copy of the photograph that has to
be printed on the stamp sheet.
They can transfer the amount online through Net Banking/NEFT to account
no: 31812185193, State Bank of India, Anna Salai, IFSC Code –
SBIN0000878. Customers can also remit the amount through money order,
postal order, bank draft drawn in favour of Chief Postmaster, Anna Road
HPO, Chennai 600002.
The sheets will be dispatched to residences without any postage fee. For
