The
representatives of AIPEU, Group-C and AIPEU, Postman & MTS, Bhubaneswar
Division met Shri R P Gupta, DPS (HQ), Bhubaneswar Region at 11.30AM on
10.09.2015 in the chamber of the SSPOs, Bhubaneswar Division during former’s inspection
of Divisional Office, Bhubaneswar.
The team was headed by Com. B Samal, Divisional Secretary, AIPEU, Gr.-C and
assisted by Com. Lingaraj Sahoo, Com. Dipti Ranjan Mohanty, Com. Nihar Ranjan
Pattnaik, Com. Kalandi Biswal and Com. Sudhir Kumar Swain, Secretary, AIPEU,
Postman & MTS and his team members.
After
formal introduction, the DPS(HQ) gave a patient hearing to all the members
individually in the presence of the SSPOs and ASPOs (OD).
We
broadly discussed the following issues:
1. Provision
of police escort in the cash of Bhubaneswar Division now pending with
Circle Office.
2. Deployment of Armed Guards in the premises of
Bhubaneswar GPO now pending with Circle Office.
3.
Early return of P As of
Bhubaneswar Division deputed to Circle Office.
4.
Supply of
literatures/brochures/leaflets to post offices on POSB and business products.
5.
Proper training to P As/SPMs/Postmasters
on McCamish and CBS with frequent workshops.
6.
Dequarterization of post
attached quarters below schedule of accommodation and in dilapidated/uninhabitable
condition – VSS Nagar SO, Mancheswar Rly. Colony S O.
7.
Maintenance of residences
in all the three postal colonies.
8.
Proper maintenance of
ratio for Divisional staff in allotment of Type-III quarters in Unit-IV Postal
Colony.
9.
Local advertisement of our
Insurance, Mail and POSB products especially digital display in the Unit-II
market building.
10.
Supply of Uniform to the
uniformed staff.
While
some of the issues were assured to be looked into personally by the DPS, he
also asked the SSPOs to address the DPS demi-officially on some important
issues like relieve of deputed staff members of Bhubaneswar Division from
Circle Office. During the discussion, the DPS urged upon the union to carry
forward the Swachh Bharat Mission especially in the postal colonies and was assured
on behalf of the representatives.
The
discussion was very cordial.

providing this opportunity to us to have a cordial discussion on our Divisional
issues.
