Com. B Samal, Divisional Secretary,
AIPEU, Group-C, Bhubaneswar Division accompanied with Com. Lingaraj Sahoo,
Vice-President and Supervisor, PLI CPC, Bhubaneswar GPO, Kalandi Biswal, Member
and Com. Sudhir Kumar Swain Divisional Secretary, AIPEU, Postman & MTS had an informal discussion with the Sr.
Postmaster ( Shri P K Nanda ) and Dy. Postmaster ( Shri P N Pattnaik ),
Bhubaneswar GPO on 13.01.2016 especially of PLI CPC issues.
As clarified by both the Sr. PM and
DPM, the earlier proposal for providing space in the SBCO branch has been turned
down by the Chief PMG. However, action is being taken to vacate the chamber of
IP, Bhubaneswar South Sub Division and repairing of the room adjacent to the
CPC at present.
Regarding deployment of additional
manpower, the Sr. Postmaster expressed his unwillingness since as many as 4 P
As have already been deployed from the present establishment. Additional
deployment will reduce the strength and affect the functioning of Bhubaneswar
GPO itself.
The Dy. Postmaster suggested to take
up the issue at C O level for additional manpower.
In this context, we have already requested
the interference of the Divisional administration apart from communicating the
issues of PLI CPC in detail to the Circle Secretary for appraising the Chief
PMG, Odisha Circle and arrange relieve of the P As of Bhubaneswar Division
already transferred from C O so that they can be deployed in PLI CPC.
The Sr. Postmaster informed that
performance wise, PLI CPC, Bhubaneswar GPO has ranked at No. 4 with 96% scoring
in the last VC with highest number of indexing in India.
