Kindly see the attachment. Order has been issued from the Directorate to open post offices on Sundays & festive occasion Dussera i.e from 09-10-2016 to 12-10-2016. CPMG, Odisha also ordered to make parcel delivery from 09-10-2010 to 12-10-2016. When statutory order is there to open POs for one day when three consecutive holidays fall and no delivery work should be done on National Holidays & Sundays, this arbitrary orders are being issued by the Directorate & CPMG, Odisha Circle. We had lodged our strong protest before CPMG today to roll back the arbitrary order, but, it was discarded on plea of Directorate order. There is total staff unrest due to snatching away of festive holidays for Durga Puja. The B.D Directorate will be opened tomorrow and it is urged to convince for withdrawal of such bureaucratic order to bring normalcy.
