Sub:-      Sub:        Holding of Inspector Posts Examination 2011 for promotion to the cadre of Inspector of Posts to be held on 3^rd   & 4^th September, 2011

Madam,

I am directed to refer to your office letter No. Rectt. / 48 – 3 / 2010, dated 15.07.2011 and subsequent your D O letter dated 20.07.2011 to clarify the following two issues:-

                        (i)             Whether the proposed IP Examination pertains to the year 2010 only and not for the year 2011;

(ii)            The cut-off date for assessing the eligibility to appear for the examination has been fixed as 30^th June,   2011. As per rule 279 / 1 – 3 ( a ) of P & T Manual , Vol. IV, the cut-off date is 1^st July preceding the date fixed for the examination.

2.             It is informed that the above mentioned issues have been examined in this office and the item-wise clarifications are given below.

 (i)            The proposed I P Examination is for the year 2011 only;

 (ii)           The cut-off date for assessing the eligibility to appear for the examination is 1^st July, 2011
