Sub:	Script for Short-Play competition for All India Postal Cultural Meet for the year 2011-12

Script for short  play competition are invited along with name of the artists and director from the willing officials to participate in the 26^th All India Postal Cultural Meet for the year 2011-12 which is being organized by Gujurat Circle at Vadodara from  04.01.2012 to 08.01.2012 subject to if the script is selected by the Directorate.

The short play script from the units are invited as per following guidelines

1.             The script should be original work of an employee, his/ her spouse or dependent children. Scripts should not have been staged during any previous meet or have been rejected in the past.

2.            Theme of the script should be of social values and written in a decent and presentable language. Three copies of the neatly typed script in double space should be sent along with its synopsis.

 3.            If the script is in a Regional language, complete English translation may also please be sent.

 4.            A maximum number of 8 artists are allowed for the short play and no artist will be allowed to play more than one role.

 5.            There should be minimum number of multiple breaks during the one act play.

 6.            All the artists shall have to be from amongst the staff and their families only.

 7.            In addition to the artists, Director of the short play should also have to be member of the staff or family members as specified above. In case the Director is also a participant, then the contingent of the team is required to be restricted to 8 only.

8.            Duration of the short play will be minimum of 20 Minutes and a maximum up to 45 Minutes. 30 Minutes are allowed for setting, lighting and dismantling etc.

 All the units are requested to forward the scripts along with the synopsis to the undersigned by 22.11.2011 positively. Script after the stipulated date will not be considered.
