If thou think that they don’t know, …… then I’m sorry.

Bruhaspati Samal
Secretary, AIPEU, Group-C, Bhubaneswar
If thou think that they don’t know
To report in time and attend to duty.
And how to bargain for their benefit,
Then I’m sorry  and regret thy resolution
To teach them punctuality
And to make them responsible and fit.

If thou think that they don’t know
How to maintain trade union fraternity
And to meet challenges before trade union,
Then I’m sorry  and regret thy preparation
To teach them the meaning of unity
And the essence of federation.

If thou think that they don’t know
The importance of rulings
And  power of right to information,
Then I’m sorry  and regret thy estimation
To teach them the meaning of extraction
And role of trade union.

If thou think that they don’t know
The thorns which bleed them torn them
Is of the same tree they have planted.
Then I’m sorry  and regret thy conclusion
To make them understand
That they are not to be blamed.

All are qualified  and all are informed
Unity is essential all are confirmed
But slept knowingly throughout,
Quite boisterous and punctual in personal matter
Vested interests have full  bargain power
There is certainly no  doubt.

Organization is meeting loss easily all assess
Late attendance affects productivity
Won’t they  ever guess ?
Can thou teach them ?
Willingness to accept responsibility
And punctuality is the sure of success.

Workshop and study camps are quite welcome
Character building should  be taught
To enhance wisdom
Everybody should learn to discover his work
And understand the other side of rights
To save the kingdom.

Let’s expect the new dawns are set
With hopes of dewy wet pleasant duty
And everybody should learn,
Not to fight for bringing Bills for Rights
But to bring Bills for Responsibility
To build a healthy and wealthy nation.
