Dear Comrades,
We have reports of mild effects of today’s earthquake in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Rourkela, Chandikhol and Bhadrak. All the staff members of our Circle office, Bhubaneswar were frightened and rushed outside the building during lunch hour. The effect was also felt for the second time at about 17 00 hours. As many as 20 pillars of the CPMG building have been reported to be cracked. As we are informed, the Chief PMG instructed all officials to vacate the building immediately after the second incidence.
Now it is high time to take suitable measures for protecting our buildings from earthquake. Hope, authorities will rise to the occasion soon.
