A training programme on “Rural Consumer Price Index Data Collection” was organised on 1st June 2012 in the district Red Cross Bhawan , Cuttack . India Post has signed a MOU with Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation for collection of data since 2009. The training programme was presided over by A.K.Sharma, IPOs, Chief Postmaster General , Odisha Circle , Bhubaneswar . Sri Sharma has advised the trainees to collect the correct data of the selected items for submission to Ministry of Statistics & PI which will be more useful and beneficial for taking up the financial up liftment works by Govt. Of India.
Sri Sanjay Kumar , Dy.Director General , NAD, Ministry of Statistics and Programme , New Delhi imparted necessary training on price data collection , supervision and data feeding in the website. Sri Lalitendu Pradhan,IPOs, Director Postal Services, Business Development delivered the welcome speech exhorting the Branch Postmasters/ sub Post Masters/ Inspector of Posts to carry on the job with a sense of challange . More than 120 officials of Postal departments attended the programme.
Other Senior officers like Pradipta Kumar Bisoi,IPoS, P.M.G, Sambalpur Region , Dinesh Mistri(IPoS Probationer), B.C.Mohanty, Senior Supdt.of Posts, S.Barik, Supdt. Of Posts, S.C.Sukla, Supdt. Of Posts, P.N.Patnaik, ASP I/C, Business Executives- Gadadhar Rath, S. S.Sahoo, S.S.Samant, Ajay Swain, Manager (BD), A.Nayak(Dy,Manager-BD) , Manoj Mahala, System Administrator, and K.C.Sahoo have also attended the programme.
