One Rank one Pension

On the recommendations of PMO, a Committee was set up under the Chairmanship of Cabinet Secretary in June, 2009 to look into the issue of `One Rank One Pension and other related matters`. After considering all aspects of the matter, the Committee keeping in mind the spirit of the demand, suggested several measures to substantially improve pensionary benefits of Personnel Below Officer Rank (PBOR) and Commissioned Officers, which have been accepted by the Government and orders for implementation of all the recommendations have been issued.

  1. Sir,
empty vessel sounds much. So much noise for such a prolonged period yields nothing.Governance in India is so week and nimble that, rest of world dares to add the tag of POLICY PARALYSIS.The Armed Force personnel who have sacrificed their lives ,their youth for the cause of Nation, are most neglected lot in this country. So many news about OROP(one rank one pension) but till date nothing in reality. I take this opportunity to inform that, even Deptt. Of Posts turns a blind eye towards the ex-servicemen. Unlike other Central Govt. Departments and PSUs where ex-servicemen are given due recognition at par with their civil colleagues by ensuring all promotional avenues and career progression and pay fixation, Departments of Posts bares from all those fundamental and humanitarian aspects.
    1. Ex-servicemen are deprived off promotional aspects such as Inspector / JAO and others as the entry age of ex-servicemen is 40+ years and with minimum 5 years as PA the upper age limits reaches (i.e.-45 years).
    2. They are being denied the pay fixation unlike other Departments, PSUs, LIC, GIC SBI etc.due to envious attitude and lack of in depth knowledge of concerned officials . Of course in CO Bhubaneswar Mr. D. Mahakhuda (Ex-IAF worked as PA CO) has had got his pay fixed and am sure you all shall agree with me that, there can not be two set of Rules for same case.
At last, as noble citizen I hope that,we learn to give due recognition to those who have sacrificed so much for all of us and lets spare a thought for them some time if not always.
