Sub: Regarding Correct Schedule Preparation of RPLI Policies after the deposits are accepted.

            I am directed to bring to the notice of all Divisional Superintendent, Postmasters  ,Sub Postmasters and Branch Postmasters that the procedure for correct schedule preparation of RPLI Policies after the deposits are accepted in BOs/SOs/HOs is not scrupulously followed at any point . This results in a huge number of UA RPLI items in the system. As result correct Policy numbers against the Agent Code is not generated.

In order to arrest such practices the following measures are reiterated for immediate action.

(a)           The Bo wise active /Lapsed policy numbers which have been sent by Divisions to BOs/SOs/IPOs concerned should be consulted at the time of schedule preparation.

(b)           In HOs while schedule posting are made by PAs or by outsourcing personnel care should be taken to see that correct number is entered.

(c)         In case, at any point of time ,if a schedule is found with incorrect policy number Divisional Head should take  prompt action on erring officials to curb the practice. All Sub-Divisional Heads/visiting officers to test check fed correct policies during the visit to such Post offices. Action taken report be submitted to this office early.
