Sub:    28^th Odisha Circle Postal Cultural Meet 2013-14

In pursuance to the instructions contained in the Chief Postmaster General, Odisha Circle,Bhubaneswar-751001 letter No:S.Cell/1-4/2013-15 dated 26.8.13, the circle level Cultural Meet tentatively fixed to be held at Cuttack  from 26^th  to 27^th  December 2013. Entries from the willing officials are thus invited in the prescribed proforma those who have good performance in Vocal, Instrumental, Dance and Mono-acting.

Eligibility: - The employees of the department, their spouse and dependent children can participate in the Meet. In case of GDS official’s length of service should not be less than six months.

Entry Fee:- For each item One Rupee will be paid by the competitor as entry fee in form of I.P.O. duly crossed and made payable to the Secretary OCPSB, O/o The CPMG Odisha Circle Bhubaneswar.

Pattern of Competition:-

The competition will be held in two groups viz., Junior Group and Senior Group.

For the Junior Group only those dependent children of the employees will be eligible who are below the age of 15 years.

For determining the age crucial date will be 30. 9. 2013.

In case of participants in Junior Group the age certificate in prescribed proforma should be enclosed in the entry form. Participants below 15 years of age cannot participate in Senior Group. In case of Senior Group participants declaration in the enclosed proforma should be submitted along with the entry form.

Items of Competition:-

Competition will be held separately for Hindustani and Karnatic Style, in Vocal and Instrumental music, Dance and Monoacting.

t		Time limit includes the introduction by the participants as to what he/ she and the action as well.		5 mts.		5mts.

Limitations in Participation :-

Participant can not participate in more than two items in a particular group indicated below :-

Group ‘A’ Items a,b,c,g,h, and i above.

Group ‘B’ Items d and j above.

Group ‘C’ Items e and k above.

Group ‘D’ Items f and l above.

Group ‘E’ Items m,n,o,p,q,r and s above.

Accompanist :-

Each participant can bring only one accompanist if necessary . The accompanist need not necessarily be an employee of the department or his/ her spouse or dependent children. Two (2) accompanists will be available one in Tabla and one in Hormonium during the item of competition.

Last Date :- All the entries should be forwarded through proper channel to the undersigned on or before  31.10.2013 (i.e Thursday)

All the entries duly filled up in prescribed proforma. In case of Junior participant certificate of birth and education should be enclosed duly signed by the competent authority (Proforma enclosed). Age certificate in any other form will not be entertained.

It may be noted that T.A. and D.A. will be paid to the participants those who will secure positions in the circle cultural meet only. However special C.L. is permissible to all eligible participants and escorts for junior participants for this purpose.

Contents of the circular may be given widest publicity among the staff of your unit. The deserving entries may be sent to the undersigned within due date.
