The National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC)
has Scheduled Public Hearings from 10th to 13th February, 2014 on the
issue of inclusion of JATS in the Central List of Backward Classes for
the nine States of Bihar, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya
Pradesh, New Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh.
These Public Hearings will be held at the Siri Fort Auditorium, August Kranti Marg, New Delhi in which Associations, Organizations and Individuals from the JAT Community as well as others are being requested to present their cases. Separate slots have been ear-marked for those who would like to speak in favour of the proposal and for those who are opposing the move.
