Gifts await children who enrol in postal schemes on November 13 and 14.
To encourage saving habit among children, the postal department will provide a special gift pack to those opening Selvamagal Semipu Account (SSA) and Public Provident Fund Account on the eve of Children’s Day.
The gift pack comprises first-day cover on former president APJ Abdul Kalam along with stamp cancellation and information brochure.
The account can be opened in all post offices of Chennai and suburbs, including Tambaram and Kancheepuram.
