Tomorrow i,e 14.11.2016 shall be working day as decided by the competent authority for all departmental office for transactions related to currency exchange and deposit/withdrawal factions. please ensure working of all PO under your administrative jurisdictions. and submit report to the control room in given proforma by 20:00 hrs.

Respected  Sir/ Madam,

It has been decided by the competent authority to keep the departmental post offices open on 14th November 2016 (Gurupurab holiday) for transactions related to currency exchange and deposit /withdrawal function of POSB in case where linked banks are also open for similar functions. This may be communicated to all concerned at the earliest so that the counters for such functions are adequately manned. Necessary instructions in this regard may be issued.

It has been directed by the Minister of Communication (Independent Charge) that all post offices (Head Post offices and Sub offices) should get cash to facilitate exchange of old currency note for the new currency notes and different denomination notes.  All departmental post offices should provide this facility and need to be quipped suitably to dispense cash.

I have been also directed by the competent authority that the entire operation is closely monitored,  so that any problem arising is  looked in to by Circle  head and resolved, under intimation to the Control Room in Dak Bhawan.
