The Money Order service, the old and trusted mode of remittance, was very much
available, the Department of Post today said, strongly refuting the reports
otherwise.
"It has been noticed since last few weeks that news items have been repeatedly appearing in Hindi and other regional news (media) regarding alleged discontinuation of Money Order services by the Department of Posts. Only Money Order `Videsh' service had been stopped while other services were operational, it said.

of service was robust, the statement said, adding that several options had been
provided for domestic money transmission such as Instant Money Order (iMO), eMO
