Dear Comrades,
The All India Postal Administrative Offices Employees Union ( AIPAOEU ) Odisha Circle branch conducted the strike campaign meeting on 29.06.2011 at the Recreation Club of Circle Office.
At the outset, describing the local problems faced by the staff members of Circle office due to non-functioning  of the lift for months together, diversion of some Divisions from the Head Quarters Region to Berhampur Region, threatening by the Circle administration for  inter-region transfer of C O staff  and many such other  related problems, Com Sasank Sekhar Samant, Circle Secretary, AIPAOEO appraised the members the need of the strike.
Briefing  the justifications of the Charter of Demands,  Com. R N Dhal, Secretary RJCM ( Staff Side ) and CS R-III, Odisha appealed the  staff members of Circle Office to participate enmasse in the Indefinite Strike. He requested every one present in the meeting to join hand to hand  for successful conductance of the strike. He also assured that all the Circle Secretaries along with the bonafide members of Circle JCA comprising NFPE and FNPO unions would sit in front of the circle office,  if situation warrants.
Strongly opposing the arbitrary closure / merger of PO/RMS Offices including BOs and the orders implementing Speed Post Hubs and Delivery Hubs , Com R C Mishra, Vice President, AIPEU, Group - C, CHQ and CS,  P-III, Odisha stressed upon  the need of a united struggle particularly at this moment. Since the call has been given by the Federations, we have, he said, no other way but to obey the instructions as disciplined soldiers of this movement. He requested every member to go through the appeal of NFPE in its website and rise to the occasion to make the Indefinite Strike a successful one.
Participating in the discussion, Com. B Samal, ACS, AIPEU, Gr.-C. Odisha and DS, Bhubaneswar Divn made an earnest appeal to all the staff members of Circle Office to leave no stone unturned for paralyzing the Circle Office. Apprehending the threat of privatization, Com. Samal urged for total success of the Strike programme. The awkwardsituations faced by Bhubaneswar Divisional J C A in conducting the agitational programme every time were brought before the members of Circle Office.  It is very difficult to organize successfully an agitational programme especially in the campus of Bhubaneswar GPO if Circle Office functions. The staff members working in post offices are being de-motivated observing the situation prevails in Circle Office premises.

Com. D P Mishra, member, AIAOEU, Odisha Circle suggested that the leadership from all corners should  come together for paralyzing the functioning of Circle office failing which it may not be possible to conduct the strike programme by their members.

The meeting was presided by Com. Sudersan Sahoo, President, AIPAOEU, Odisha Circle and vote of thanks was given by Com. R K Senapati, Treasurer, AIPAOEU, Odisha Circle.
