Sub- Organization of RPLI Mela in the divisions on 26-08-2012 (Sunday) in clear deviation to the Directorate instructions vide letter No 16/56/2011-SR dated 08-07-2011.
Respected Sir,
This Circle Union wants to register its strong protest against the irregular order, issued by the divisional heads directing all PMs/ SPMs to attend the RPLI Mela compulsorily on dated 26-08-2012 (Sunday). The copy of the letter issued by the SSPOs Bhubaneswar division is attached herewith for favour of kind reference and as per reports received by the union this Mela is uniformly organized in all the divisions of the circle on the same date 26-08-2012 (Sunday). So, it is quite obvious that the decision/order has been made at the CO level.
In addition to above,
it is seen from the order that instruction has been issued for PMs/SPMs to
attend the Mela without fail with 10 numbers of PLI proposals with at least one
high value policy (Sum assured more than 10 lakhs) which is impossible on their
part to procure as there services are very much restricted within the four
walls of the offices and they are already overburdened with various premium
product works introduced by the Department without giving justified hands. This
is high time and it is requested to kindly have a check to further exploitation
to PMs/ SPMs by imposing them with such unrealistic target.
Moreover, we want to
draw the kind attention to the instructions vide Directorate letter no
16/56/2011-SR dated 08-07-2011, issued after negotiation on the charter of
demands served with the notice of indefinite strike w.e.f. 05-07-2011 which
inter alia states not to conduct frequent melas/meetings in routine manner. It
has been also envisaged therein “weekly break and holiday etc. have their own significance
and it may be kept in view while calling officials for duty during the break.
The very order clearly violates the above instructions of the Directorate &
is quite arbitrary in nature, needs to be cancelled.
We are receiving
serious discontent of staffs from all corners of the circle and hence request
for immediate scrapping of the order to avoid total staff unrest in entire
circle.
Kind response in the
matter is solicited.
With Regards.
Yours faithfully
(R.C.Mishra)
