Sub – Regarding observation of “Girl Child Week” from 24.01.2014 to 30.01.2014.

Sir,

             National Girl Child Week is observed on 24^th January every Year in India. Secretary (Posts) during the video conference dated 08.01.2014 has directed the Circles to observe “Girl Child Week” this year from 24.01.2014 to 30.01.2014 in the Department. To mark the occasion effort is to be made to propagate benefit of saving for future among girl children particularly those living in rural areas. You are requested to create awareness and ensure opening of at least one account in the name of each girl child in all the villages in your Division. BPMs and other GDS employees as well as MPKBY agents may be encouraged to undertake a drive for this purpose.

It is requested to submit your work plan in this regard by 15.01.2014 for information of CPMG.
