Regional Level Strike Meeting by NFPE, FNPO and AIPEU, GDS ( NFPE ) conducted successfully on 19.01.2014 in Bhubaneswar.



As a part of  campaign programme for the forth coming two-days nation-wide strike called by the Confederation of Central Govt. Employees and Workers on 12th & 13th February, 2014, a grand meeting was organized here in Bhubaneswar at 11 AM on 19.01.2014 with participation of NFPE and FNPO unions including AIPEU GDS ( NFPE).
The meeting was presided by Com. Bruhaspati  Samal, Asst. Circle Secretary, AIPEU, Group-C, Odisha Circle along with Com. H K Panda, Circle Vice-President, P-IV NFPE  and Com. Chittaranjan Panda, Circle  Vice – President, AIPEU GDS ( NFPE ).
The meeting was addressed by the following leaders.

Addressing the gathering Com. Mishra, CS, P-III briefed the history of Postal Trade union Movement , and Pay Commissions including compulsion of the Confederation to compromise for 8 Years pay revision . Briefing the justification of the modified Charter of demands he appealed all Circle and Divisional Secretaries to keep the good will of Odisha Circle in brining a roaring success to the forth coming strike.  Com. M R Sarangi, FNPO’s only representative  told that it is the right time to hammer the Govt. for our demands.  Com. Nirmal Singh described the impact of liberalization, privatization and globalization, Com. D B Mohanty highlighted the hidden impact of PFRDA Act.
While there was no contradiction to the Charter of Demands and no dispute to run away from the responsibility of conducting the two-days nation-wide strike brining a thundering success, all the leaders promised to undertake serious campaign and leave no  room for any lapses in this regard. Most of the NFPE leaders appealed Com. M R Sarangi who was the only participant from FNPO  unions to arrange for giving  suitable and proper message to their grass root level leadership so that they will fully cooperate with the NFPE leadership for bringing total success in real sense.
Lastly vote of thanks was given by Com. A K Tripathy, Divisional Secretary, AIPEU, Group-C, Balasore Division and Com. B Samal, President of the meeting concluded   with a promising attitude for all round success of the forth coming strike.
