Bhikari Bal passes away at 81

 1929 - 2010

             Legendary Odiya bhajan singer Bhikari Bal who was admitted in the ICU of SCB Medical College and Hospital  due to prolonged illness  passes away at Cuttack on 02.11.2010 ( Tuesday ) night. He was Eighty one-year-old.  The octogenarian singer  was ailing since past four years and recently the State Health Minister had assigned a team of doctors to monitor his treatment.

            He was born on May 25, 1929 at Sobala village of Kendrapada district.  He has contributed tremendously towards spreading Lord Jagannath culture across the globe through his songs

            The members of All India Postal Employees Union, Group-C, Bhubaneswar Division paying respectable homage prays that the departed soul may rest in eternal peace.
