Dr. Verghese Kurien, the father of white revolution is no more.

Padma Vibhusan Dr.  Verghese Kurien , the icon of India’s cooperative movement and the dairy industry  and popularly  known as  the father of White Revolution, passed away in Nadiad, Gujarat on Sunday at the age of 90.
               Dr. Kurien replicated the Anand model throughout India as operation flood, making India the world's largest producer of milk. Today over 10 million farmers across the country at 200 dairies produce over 20 million litres of milk a day. Dr. Kurien’ s contribution to the welfare of the farmer and agricultural production and development of the country is immeasurable   
The All India Postal Employees Union, Group-C, Bhubaneswar Division sincerely condoles the sad demise of  this outstanding personality .
