Comrades,
We are just in receipt of a message
that last night ( 25.03.2016) there was a
robbery from Rench S O with loss of 2 systems including all accessories, 1 laser
printer and one Pass Book printer. As
informed to us, no damage has been done to the treasury and investigation is going
on by the local Police. No officer from the Department of Posts had attended
the spot till 12.15 PM. We have tried to contact with SSPOs, Bhubaneswar who could not talk since in a vehicle on the way as informed. We failed to contact with the SPM since he was
busy with the investigating officers of the local police station.
In this context, it is to be noted
that Rench S O has been recently migrated to CBS platform. It is a
single-handed delivery S O attached with 12 B Os. Being situated in a rural
area, the security arrangement is not at all satisfactory. Without adequate
manpower and technical support, the SPM is working up to 10 O’ clock in the
night everyday with lots of agony. And adding salt to injury, now this theft
has put the SPM into an embarrassing situation.
We have kept a close watch on the
issue.
At this moment, I would like to appeal
all our members to extend their moral support and stay with the SPM.
