Sub :-  Regarding review of performance on achievement of target in POSB accounts during the financial year 2012-13.

This is regarding achievement of target in respect of opening of new accounts for the financial year 2012-13 and in this connection please refer to this office letter No.-SB-258/ch-II/10 dtd 26/07/2012 wherein the assigned target has been mentioned and the same is reiterated below.

“B” Class SO	500 + (300 x No. of BOs under jurisdiction of the concerned S.O.)
“C” Class SO	300 + (300 x No. of BOs under jurisdiction of the concerned S.O.)
BO	300 each

But, this Division is lagging behind the target for your inaction. Even a single Post office under this Division is not able to achieve the proportionate target. It will be too difficult to achieve the target for such poor response. The CPMG has personally reviewed your performance and expressed his deep concern over such poor performance and directed that each SO and each BO will have to open at least 200 nos. of new accounts by 20.03.2013 to compensate the shortfall.       

As such, a concerted effort should be made in order to achieve the target. You are therefore directed to make all-out efforts to open 200 nos. of new accounts in addition to the accounts opened so farand achieve the shortfall by 20.03.2013 positively. A weekly report may be sent to office as per the following proforma through eMail on each Saturday for onward submission to CO on Monday.
