Madhuram Narayanan Centre for Exceptional Children (MNC) would release a
special cover and a postal stamp of St Teresa on the opening day of its
three-day fifth International Conference and 13th National Workshop on
"Early Intervention in Mental Retardation and Associated Disabilities"
to be held here from November 17 to 19.
A statement from the
organisers today said to commemorate the canonization of Mother Teresa
as Saint Teresa and association of MNC with Mother Teresa, a Special
Cover and a Postal Stamp of St Teresa will be released on November 17.
It would be released by Ms Radhika Chakravarthy, Post Master General,
Chennai City Region and Mr N Sankar, Chairman of the Sanmar Group would
receive the first cover.
This would be followed by the Third Air Vice
Marshal V Krishnaswamy Memorial Oration by Dr Partha Pratim Majumder,
Director, National Institute of Biomedical Genomics, Kalyani (near
Kolkata) and Head of the Department of Human Genetics, Indian
Statistical Institute, Kolkata.
