The Annual General Body Meeting of
AIPEU, Gr.-C, Cuttack (North) Division was conducted successfully at Pattamundai on 04.01.2015.
At the outset, Com. Sarada Prasad Das,
Divisional Secretary greeted the General Body with New year wishes and briefed the cause of arranging the GB meeting
at Pattamundai. The activities of the Divisional Union during the preceding one
year was presented by Com. Das and
problems of the Division were also discussed.
On invitation, Com. B Samal, Vice-President
, AIPEU, Group-C, Odisha Circle branch attended the G B Meeting with the comrades of Bhubaneswar Division namely Com. Anil Kumar Mohanty, Vice-President, Com.
Lingaraj Sahoo, Vice-President, Com. Dipti Ranjan Mohanty, Asst. Secretary and Com. Nihar
Ranjan Pattnaik, organizing Secretary.
Addressing the gathering, Com. B Samal
discussed briefly on the draft
memorandum submitted by AIPEU, Gr.-C, CHQ/NFPE/Confederation to the 7th
CPC and the latest position on grant of Interim Relief, D A merger and other
related issues. Above all, the dangers clouding over the Department of Posts
and its employees out of the report of the Task Force on Leveraging Post Office
Network and the activities undertaken by Confederation and NFPE to safeguard
its members were clearly discussed by Com. Samal. All the grass root level
members were cautioned to be particular on this specific issue and rise to the occasion
rank and file to each agitational programme at the call of the
NFPE/Confederation with cent percent active participation to save the
Department from Corporatization / Privatization. All were advised for regular
watching of the websites of CHQ/NFPE/Confederation to know the latest position
of the proposed agitational programmes and go through Bhartiya Post / Postal
Crusader and educate themselves.
The meeting was presided by Com. Pravakar Behera.
Com. Nirmal Singh, Circle Secretary,
AIPEU GDS (NFPE), Odisha Circle branch and Sri Debashis Satpathy, IP,
Pattamundai also attended the meeting.
Com. B Samal expresses his sincere
gratitude before the members of Cuttack (North ) Division for giving him a
golden opportunity to discuss the serious negative impacts of the report of the
Task Force on Leveraging Post Office Network.
It is suggested that all the Divisions
should conduct such General Body Meetings as soon as possible and aware their members
and make them ready for the forth coming Indefinite Strike commencing 6th
May, 2015.
