The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) hosted the
World Mail and Express Asia Pacific Conference, with a strong belief
that traditional mail is still relevant amid digital age.
PHLPost Postmaster General Ma. Josefina Dela Cruz said that while people say postal services are dying, the Philippines in fact experiences a rise in mail volume due to e-commerce.
From a P266 million loss in 2010, PHLPost's net income significantly increased to P640 million in 2014 due to better management and growth of e-commerce.
