BENGALURU: Following
the Reserve Bank of India’s nod, India Post is opening the Indian Postal Bank
from December and adopting e-Commerce to all over the state, said Usha
Chandrashekar, chief postmaster general, Karnataka Circle.
She
was speaking on Thursday at the valedictory of National Postal Week. “The
postal department is completely digitised and postal shopping facility is
already available in Bangaluru and Dharwad. We are extending it other places
across the state.
The
department has generated Rs 20 crore revenue already this year, she said.
Acting
Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court Subhro Kamal Mukherjee who gave away
awards to achievers in postal delivery, personal life insurance coverage and
other services, said every employee should work dedicatedly and efficiently for
their own good and also of the organisation.
