Sub: Usage of bag label for Unregistered First Class bags by mail offices and Post Offices.  

               This is regarding usage of bag label for Unregistered First Class Mail bags by mail offices and Post Offices.   

              In this connection instruction has been received vide Directorate letter no.30-24/2012-d dated 27/10/2014 conveyed vide C.O letter no.ML/2-109/2012 dated 01.12.2014 that all mail offices and Post Offices will start using the new bag label referred to above while closing a bag containing unregistered mail . But the same has not been happened till date. 

           Further, modification have been made in the existing Meghdoot software /R-Net version software (CRCs) by the CEPT Mysore and option for Unregistered bag  receipt/open/close/dispatch were provided in the software. 

                   C.O has instructed vide letter no.ML/2-109/2012 dated 26.11.2015 for use of the new bag label by all mail Offices and post offices while closing a bag containing unregistered mail with immediate effect and to report compliance to C.O . 

             Therefore, it is instructed to all concerned to start using of bag lebel for receipt/close/open/dispatch of unregistered mails through Meghdoot software/R-Net version with immediate effect and report compliance to this office. Indent may be made to this office for supply of bag labels.

                  This may be treated as most urgent.
