7th Biennial Conference of AIPEU, Group-C, Bhubaneswar Division concluded successfully

Dear Comrades,

First of all I would like express my heartfelt gratitude for your collective efforts for smooth conductance of our 7^th Divisional Biennial Conference under the president-ship of Com. Purna Chandra Dash from 05.04.2012 to 06.04.2012 with Open Session at NALCO Auditorium ( Mahanadi Niwas), NALCO Colony (Phase – I), Near Kalinga Hospital , Bhubaneswar – 751 023. Personally speaking, in spite of my unwillingness, once again you gave me a chance to work for you accompanied with a powerful team. I express my sincere obligation for electing me for the fifth time in a row.

Inaugurating the Open Session of the Conference, Dr. Chandan Mitra, Hon’ble M P ( R S ) and the Chief Editor, “The Pioneer” said that  he would appraise the genuine problems of postal employees to the Minister Communication and I T. Sri Mohan Jena, Hon’ble M P ( Lok Sabha )  attending as the Guest of honour expressed his concern over the plight of the postal employees and narrated the fate of the poor postal assistants with that of the character “Hari Singh” and the bureaurocrats as “Gopalbabu” on the basis of the famous short story”Dak Munshi” written by Vyasakabi Fakir Mohan Senapati. Sri Jitu Pattnaik, Hon’ble MLA, Odisha and Chairman, Reception Committee and Sri Bijay Kumar Mohanty, Hon’ble MLA, Odisha, Bhubaneswar Central and Guest of Honour stressed upon   for providing better health care, repairing of unsuitable quarters, dequarterization of post offices having below schedule of accommodation and to fill up the vacant posts.    Com. R N Dhal, Astt. Secretary, General, NFPE criticized the neo-liberal policies of the Central Govt. and adoption of delayed procedures by the administration to redress the problems of the employees. Com. R C Mishra, Circle Secretary, AIPEU, Gr.-C, Odisha Circle and Vice-president, CHQ and Com. S S Samanta , Circel Secy, AIPAOEU, Odisha opined for united struggle to redress the long pending issues.

The Open Session was also attended by Com. B B Mohanty , Vice-president , AIAIASP, CHQ, Com. Sudhir Ku. Swain, Divisional Secretary, AIPEU, Postman & MTS, Bhubaneswar Division, Com. M M Acharya, AIEDEU, Bhubaneswar Division and representatives of Philatelic Association of Odisha.

The union felicitated the retired employees on this occasion.
