Joint General Body Meeting of NFPE & FNPO unions of Bhubaneswar Division conducted successfully on 05.01.2014

In accordance with the notification No. PJCA-BBSR / 12 / 2013, dated  26^th December, 2013, the joint General Body Meeting of NFPE and FNPO unions comprising AIPEU, Group-C, AIPEU, Postman /Group-D, AIPEU GDS (NFPE) and NAPE, Group-C of Bhubaneswar Division was conducted at Maa Bhuasuni Temple, Samantarapur, Bhubaneswar – 751002 under the president-ship of Com. P C Dash, President, AIPEU, Group-C, Bhubaneswar Division.

The meeting was started with one minute silent prayer for the sad demise of Com. Arjun Ch. Khuntia, GDS BPM, Baulanga B O in account with Nayahat S O due to cardiac arrest at about 8 AM on 05.01.2014. A message of condolence was conveyed to the bereaved family members from the forum.

Briefing the purpose of calling such a joint meeting, Com. President invited the members to focus on our organizational weaknesses so that the Divisional Union can find out proper ways and means for increasing active participation of all members at grass root level which will ultimately strengthen the Circle unions, CHQs, Federations and the Confederation as a whole. The following members participated in the discussion and presented their views.

Com. B Samal, Secretary, AIPEU, Group-C and Chairman, Postal JCA, Bhubaneswar Division discussed the agenda items with main focus on the following issues.

1.            Achievements on Memorandum dated 11.09.2013 of the Divisional JCA to SSPOs, Bhubaneswar 

2.            Latest Development on Proposed 7 CPC

3.            Confederation’s / Central JCA’s Demands & future programmes

4.            Cadre Restructuring of Group-C employees.

Describing the modified Charter of Demands of the Confederation in details and explaining the justification of the terms of references of the 7^th CPC point-wise, Com. Samal requested all members of the JCA to keep themselves ready for cent percent active participation in the proposed indefinite strike to be decided by the Confederation in its extended Federal Executive Meeting on 10.01.2014.

The meeting was ended with a New Year’s get-together feast arranged by the Postal JCA, Bhubaneswar. The JCA thanks Com. Anil Ku. Mohanty, Vice-President, P-III, NFPE, Com.
