Inclusion of post offices in "Look and Feel" under Project Arrow, Phase - VII in Odisha Circle

For inclusion in “Look and Feel” under Project Arrow Phase-VII in the financial year 2013-14, 10 Project Arrow Offices Departmental Building listed below have been proposed to Directorate by Circle Office.

As such the Chief PMG, Odisha Circle has directed the concerned Regional/Divisional heads including Postal Civil and Electrical Wing to take immediate action in this regard and to ensure the following points.

1.            Postal Civil Wing and Electrical Wing may be asked to visit these offices jointly and to prepare and submit the estimates to CO/RO as the case may be. The Divisional Heads may also be asked to remain present during their visit. While preparing the estimates, specification in the Blue Book and instructions issued in the past by the Change Agent – Infrastructure & Branding is to be kept in view. 

2.            Existing Marble and granite counters, if any, are not to be dismantled if found in good condition. However, considering the condition of Marble and granite counters in specific cases if it is necessary to dismantle the same, prior permission of Heads of Circle/Region may be taken.

3.            Supply of new visitor’s benches and new steel dustbins may kindly be included in civil estimate.

4.            Insertion of two pipes for Electrical and LAN cabling in the floor may be undertaken by Electrical Wing with assistance/coordination     of Civil Wing at the time of Civil Work.

5          .   Items like Name Board (External Sign Board) and Standee (Service Board) are coming under branding activities, and, therefore, the Electrical wing needs to prepare separate estimate for these items.
