Retirement age of central govt employees may be increased to 62

Last time government raised retirement age of central government employees was in 1998

In the poll year, the central government employees may get a pleasant surprise of an increase in their retirement age to 62 years from 60 years at present.

The Cabinet is likely to consider a proposal to this effect later today.
