Shri N R
Giri, SSPOs, Bhubaneswar Division visited Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences
(KISS) Bhubaneswar accompanied with Sri Khageswar Mallick ASPOs(OD) and Sri
Samrendra Sethi, IP, Bhubaneswar South Sub Division. Being inspired by
the activities of 25000 tribal students of KISS who are making fine
painting, applique, phenyl, car-wash, pickle etc. as a part of their
craft class, the SSPOs has submitted a proposal to the Chief PMG, Odisha Circle
for opening of a Post Shoppe in Bhubaneswar GPO to sell the above products.
Action for conducting a stamp exhibition for the tribal children is also
underway. If the Department agrees to the above proposal for Post Shoppe,
it has been tentatively planned to design it in tribal style with bamboo, palm
leaves etc.
