Sir, I would like put forth an article published in CGE website, which is extracted as here under.
ReplyDelete"No Comparison between pay Structure of Central Government Employees and of Bank Employees"
The pay scales of employees in Public Sector Banks (PSBs) are determined as per the agreement between the management and Associations/Unions every five years. Besides the pay, employees in banks are also entitled to a number of other allowances and benefits. The pay scale of the Central Government employees are finalised by Government taking the recommendations of Central Pay Commission into consideration and these pay scales are reviewed generally after ten years. The terms and conditions of service of Central Government employees and Bank employees are entirely different and are regulated in terms of the respective service conditions. Hence, no comparison can be drawn between pay structure of Central Government employees and of bank employees.
This was stated by the Minister of State for Finance, Shri Namo Narain Meena in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha today.
If this is the state of affair, where do we head for? 'Let the public (Aam Admi and MPs realise that, Postal Employees do provide the Insurance, Courier along with the banking service which penetrates deep into the Rural villages beyond the imagination of Banks and other Departments.
Hence, along with strike , an nation wide awareness campaign to build up a strong openion should be considered too.
Sincerely.
Pravat
The news has been released by PIB and also published in this website on 01.12.2012. But what is there to feel panic ? Just remind the story before constitution of 6th CPC. Mr. Montek Singh Ahluwalia, the Dy. Chairman of Planning Commission vehemently opposed and remarked that there was no need for any Pay Commission as the C G employees were getting admissible D A for price rise. Many other congress leaders were seen dancing in the same tune of Mr. Ahluwalia. But what happened actually ? The united struggle of the employees only could bend down the Govt. to set up 6th CPC and now we are enjoining the benefits.
ReplyDeleteSo think for the struggle programmes and concentrate on your participation. Forget all other things. Hope positive. Motivate others and march ahead. Everything will be alright.
Dear Sir,
ReplyDeleteit is not a question of panic. But certainly an wake-up call. What we achieved may be great but certainly it counts what we did not. Hope you may agree on this and certainly it is an optimism and way to broader achievement.
