Erecting sign boards in all vacant plots of the Department – Directorate instructs all heads of Circles

Kindly refer to Member ( Planning )’s  D O letter No. 18-31/2011-Bldg., dated 13.09.2011 forwarding there with the 24^th report of  the Standing Committee on Information Technology on Demands for Grants ) 2011-12) relating to “Estate Management”  with the direction to take necessary action  to get Department’s encroached upon plots vacated and protected by fencing / erecting boundary walls and even deploying security guards, if needed.

2.             As per the recent reports from the Circles, it is seen that 918 plots are presently vulnerable to encroachment being bereft of any fences / boundary walls. The Department is actually aware of the gravity of the situation but, nonetheless, owing to tight budget, funs for constructing boundary walls could be released only for a mere fifty plots during current year.

3.             In this situation, it has been decided  to at least erect sign boards in all the vacant plots prominently proclaiming , “THIS PROPERTY BELONGS TO DEPARTMENT OF POSTS – TRESPASSERS  WILL BE PROSECUTED”. Kindly ensure it and furnish a report by 31^st January, 2012 positively
