In order to boost tourist influx in Goa the Post Office authorities have decided to sell railway tickets through PRS terminals at Goa post offices starting from March 1, 2012. The railway tickets in north Goa will be sold at Pernem, Calangute, Mapusa, Panaji whereas Madgao and Cancona will sell tickets in south Goa. This facility will also serve Goans who undertake regular railway journeys to neighboring regions like Mumbai and Pune.
