Sub: Vacation of street vendors sitting in front
of Ashokanagr Mukhya Dak Ghar and
provision of dustbin on the back-side road of the post office – Request
regarding.
Sir,
As you are aware, Ashokanagr Mukhya
Dak Ghar, Bhubaneswar – 751 009 situated inside the Unit-II Market Complex (
Eastern Tower) is the first Model Post Office of Odisha Postal Circle and now a
fully computerized Project Arrow post office under “Look and Feel Good” concept
of India Post.
But unfortunately we are
constrained to bring it your kind notice that some street vendors are always
sitting on the open space in front of
the post office from dawn to dusk and confusing our customers regarding
existence of a post office behind them due to their ugly display of article
even on the letter box. Several news have already been made by both mass and
electronic media on the issue and both BMC and Capital Police station
authorities have already interfered in the matter. Regretfully, the situation
has remained the same till date.
As such, we would like to
request you once again kindly to bestow your personal attention on these
sensitive issues and arrange vacation of the unauthorized street vendors from
the space in front of the post office with necessary instruction not to sit and
display any item in between the working hours of the post office ,i.e. 7.30 AM
to 6 PM which will facilitate customers’
easy entry/exit to/from to the post office and save the image of India Post.
Secondly, a portion of
the back-side road of the Post Office has been converted to a dumping yard with
the waste materials, left-out food stuffs, paper/plastic plates etc. used by
the vendors especially by the fast-food shops of the Unit-II market complex and
thus creating an unhygienic atmosphere. A bigger size dustbin is urgently
required with repairing of the road.
Awaiting your kind
cooperation and early action.
With
profound regards.
Yours faithfully,
( B
SAMAL)
Divisional Secretary
