         Pursuant to approval of Chief Postmaster General, Orissa Circle, Bhubaneswar conveyed vide C.O. letter No. ESP/15-17/89-2011 dated 10.03.14  , Order of Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Bhubaneswar Division, Bhubaneswar-751009 is hereby accorded for opening of a temporary camp Post Office as extension counter of Bhubaneswar GPO in the premises of the O/o- Chief Electoral Officer , Bhubaneswar -751001 from 11.03.2014 (F/N) under the accounts jurisdiction of Bhubaneswar GPO to provide Postal facilities.

2.      The temporary camp Post Office will function from 11.03.14 (F/N) on no cost basis in the rent free accommodation to be provided by Chief Electoral Officer , Bhubaneswar -751001 with required furniture and security arrangement free of cost with the following establishments :-

         i)             TS SPM  =  01 (one)  = By diversion of one suitable PA from BBSR GPO.

         ii)            Group-D =  01 (one)  = By diversion of one Gr-D from BBSR GPO.

3.      The working hours of the temporary camp Post Office will be from 10.00 hours to 18.00 hours.

4.       The following mail arrangement will be given effect from 11.03.2014.

5.      The authorized balance of the temporary camp Post Office is fixed as follows:-

            Cash  (Maximum)      =          Rs.2000/- (Rupees two thousand) only

            Cash  (Minimum)       =          Rs  500/- (Rupees five hundred) only

         Postage Stamp       =       5000/- (Rupees five thousand) only including Philatelic Stamps

            Revenue Stamp         =                 500/- (Rupees five hundred) only

        

6.      The proposed temporary camp Post Office is authorized to sale Stamps ,  booking of uninsured Regd. Letters, Parcels, Speed Post articles and Money orders.

7.      The Senior Postmaster, Bhubaneswar GPO will close the bag for the proposed temporary Post Office and will supply required forms etc. and Stamps and Cash. He will make necessary arrangement for safe custody of Cash, Stamp and other valuables of the temporary Post Office.

8.      The temporary camp Post Office will use the TPO Stamps & Seals which will be supplied by the Superintendent, Postal Stores Depot, Bhubaneswar-7. The same will be procured through special messenger by the Senior Postmaster, Bhubaneswar GPO for onward supply to the proposed temporary P.O. under proper receipt.

9.  The P.R.I.(P), Bhubaneswar GPO will contact the Chief Electoral Officer , Bhubaneswar -751001 to take possession of the PO and required furniture items for the TPO and will make over the same to the Sub Postmaster of the office at the time of opening. He will also remain present on the spot at the time of opening of the temporary camp Post Office and will ensure smooth opening and functioning of the TPO.

11.    The Asst. Supdt. of Posts I/C, Bhubaneswar North Sub-Divn., Bhubaneswar-751001 will remain present on the spot to ensure smooth opening and functioning of the TPO. He will supervise all the allied matters.

12.    The temporary camp Post Office will be opened on 11.03.14 & will function till further notice.
