We live in a changing India, yet cling to archaic systems and laws. Geographically, India remains what it was in 1947. But demographically, it has multiplied four times, and to an even greater degree from Bharat to India, agriculture to industry, rural to urban, on-farm to off-farm, from patriarchy to greater gender equality, from age to youth, passive to active.
Caste and superstition have not disappeared — as we see with khap panchayats — nor communalism. Equal opportunity and fratern ..
