The State C O C meeting was held today at 18 00 hours in CPWD Guest House, Bhubaneswar under the president-ship of Com. K C Sahoo with the following discussions / resolutions. Representatives from India Post, CPWD, CGWB, Text Book Press, Institute of Physics etc have attended the meeting.
Com. Bruhaspati Samal, Asst. Circle Secretary, AIPEU, Group-C, Orissa Circle represented the meeting on behalf of NFPE.
1. Com. M M Samal, General Secretary, COC briefed about the Indefinite Strike call given by the postal employees commencing 5 the July, 2011 against some of the policy decisions taken by the Department endangering the job security of the employees. It was unanimously decided to extend full co-operation to the strike programme by the State COC.
2. It was also unanimously decided to extend full cooperation to the Indefinite Hunger Fast launched by the RMS unions of Orissa Circle in front of the office of the Chief PMG, Bhubaneswar.
3. The State COC passed a resolution condemning the dastardly attacks by a gang led by the leader of CPWD Mazdoor Union, an affiliate of the "Indian National Trinumal Trade Union Congress" on our colleagues and activists of Pensioners Association at Nizam Palaces, Kolkata on 3rd June 2011 including the police inaction. It was unanimously decided to fax the following message to the Hon`ble Prime Minister as per the direction for the Confederation
“Central Govt. employees working in the State of Orissa deplore the dastardly attacks on our colleagues and activists of Pensioners Association at Nizam Palaces, Kolkata on 3rd June 2011 and condemn the Police inaction. The forceful closure/capturing the Union Offices will be repulsed. Solicit your kind intervention to maintain law and order in the State of West”
