To
The Senior
Superintendent of Post Offices
Bhubaneswar
Division, Bhubaneswar – 751 009
No. UN-BN/AIPEU-Gr.-C/ 10 - 06/2012, Dated at Bhubaneswar the 23rd July, 2012
Sub: Timely supply of computer
consumables / accessories , forms, stationeries and other stock items to Sub
Post Offices / MDGs.
Sir,
Most
regretfully, this is to bring your kind notice that the items indented by the
SPMs/Postmaster of SOs/MDGs are not being supplied timely unless either the
SPM/Postmaster attends Divisional office in person or depute somebody to
collect the required items.
Several such
instances are coming to the notice of
this union regularly which has earlier been discussed with the SSPOs.
Apprehending suspension of day to day work and observing unusual delay in
supply the SPMs/Postmasters are being compelled to collect the indented items
in person. This Divisional Secretary is also a party to such incident several
times.
It is
needless to reiterate that while the SPMs/Postmasters hardly find any time to
proceed to Divisional Office on one hand, instructing them to collect the
indented items in person is certainly not a healthy practice on the other.
Secondly
deputing a person to collect the items will on the other hand involve
unnecessary conveyance charges.
As such,
this union is of the opinion that the available stock items which are indented
by the SPMs/Postmaster may be supplied immediately after receipt of the indent by
closing bags to the concerned office which will not only save unnecessary
conveyance charges but also ensure timely supply.
A line of
reply on the action taken is highly solicited.
. With regards
Yours faithfully,
( B
SAMAL)
Secretary
