WORKSHOP ON “STANDARDISATION OF MAILS & STANDARDS OF WRITING ADDRESSES”.


A workshop on “ Standardisation of Mails & Standard of Writing Addresses” has been    organised by Odisha Postal Circle with the bulk mailers on 24.07.2012 in Postal Recreation Club, office of the Chief Postmaster General, Odisha Circle, Bhubaneswar. About 50 corporate customers/bulk mailers  from Bhubaneswar  have attended the workshop.
 Sri Sarit Kumar Chakrabarty  , Chief Postmaster General , Odisha Circle actively elaborated in detail about the standard of writing addresses on the letter including the standardisation of mails  so that all mails can be processed / sorted through machines. Sri Pawan Kumar Singh , Director(Business Development) highlighted the better aspect of standardisation of mails for speedier processing of mails under machine.
The introductory speech was delivered by Sri Manmohan Mohapatra, Assistant Director(Mail & Business Development) and Sri P.J.Lade welcomed the gatherings. Sri Srikant Sahoo, Sorting Assistant Superintendent (Mail) took up the lessons bit by bit. An interaction and doubt clearing session was also held with the bulk mailers. Chief Postmaster General   himself clarified the doubts and expected some feedback from the customers.  Business Executives like Sri Gadadhar Rath and Sri Sasanka Sekhar Samant  organised the workshop and Sri Shyamsundar Sahoo expressed vote of thanks to representatives of different organisations like NISER, SBI(RACPC), OSACS, NRHM, IGNOU, ICICI Bank, LIC, Amaodisha, BSNL, NIOS and state government Departments like Home, Industry, SME  and Higher Education, etc for their active participation.
