Sub:     Award of excellence in academic achievements in 10th & 12th Standard Board Examination by the Children of Postal employees 2013-14.
           
Applications in the prescribed proforma (Specimen enclosed) are invited from Postal employees including GDS for grant of award for achieving excellence by their children in 10th & 12th standard Board Examination for the year 2013-14.
Five awards are to be given for the children of staff in each of the following groups purely on merit on the basis of marks obtained in 10th & 12th Standard Board Examination subject to the minimum percentage of marks shown against each group.

The quantum of awards for each category will be as follow:-
Ist position in the Circle
Rs.1000/-
2nd position in the Circle
Rs. 800/-
3rd position in the Circle
Rs. 700/-
4th position in the Circle
Rs. 600/-
5th position in the Circle
Rs. 500/-
There will be no pay limit or reservation for these awards. The applications may be submitted in the proforma prescribed along with attested copy of mark sheet through the Divisional Head / Unit Head on or before 31.10.2013 and the Divisional Heads / Unit heads should submit to the Circle office on or before 05.11.2013 with his signature and designation seal. Incomplete applications and applications received after the due date will be rejected. Inspectors of Post and ASPs should send the applications through their Divisions concerned.
This may be given wide publicity among the staff including Gramin Dak Sevaks immediately. Copies of application forms may be downloaded from the email. Extra copies may be xeroxed at the Divisional / Unit levels for supply to HOs / SOs / Branch Post Offices / Subordinate Offices.
