Regional Dak Adalat for postal grievances

The Postal Department will organise a regional level Dak Adalat at the Postmaster General Office here on September 27.
Customers of Chennai city region including Chennai, Arakkonam, Tiruvannamalai, Vellore, Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu and Puducherry divisions can send their grievances in a written format to E Durairajan, Assistant Director (public grievances), O/o The post master general, Chennai city region, Chennai - 600 002 on or before September 23.
Customers can also send their grievances through mail at with the Dak Adalat in the subject column.
The complaints regarding disposal of money order, registered post, speed post, VP, insured, EPP articles booked by customers should contain full details such as article number, date and office of booking, full address of sender and the receiver along with contact number.
If the complaint is about the Savings Scheme or Postal Life insurance, the details of the grievance, account number, PLI policy number and recovery details, name and address of the depositor, insurant, name of the post office and any other reference of the postal department, if available, should be furnished for processing and redressal of the grievances, said Mervin Alexander, Postmaster General of Chennai city region in a press statement.
