Sub :- Allocation of target for New accounts to be opened and certificates to be issued during 2015-16.

The target of opening of new accounts to be opened and certificates to be issued during the financial year 2015-16 for Bhubaneswar GPO,MDGs,SOs and BOs has been furnished below for your kind information and necessary action.

            In order to achieve the target allocated for your office, you are hereby directed to take all necessary steps such as :- 

Ø  One new RD account to be opened from the existing depositor in lieu of the closed account.

Ø  Opening of new accounts by school/college students and NREGS account holders.

Ø  The MGNREGS account holders may be motivated to open one RD account @ denomination of Rs. 10/- or above basing on their capability.

Ø  Equal no. of new accounts should be opened for the accounts closed and transferred so that the balance on existing live accounts can be maintained.

Ø  Lot of initiative should be taken in motivating customers to open RD account @ denomination of Rs. 10/- or above basing on their capability.

Ø  The MIS account holders those who have no SB accounts may be motivated to open SB accounts for auto transfer of interest of MIS account to their SB account.

Ø  The BPL holders, who have not opened SB accounts may be motivated to open SB accounts.

Ø  In house motivation should be made to open RD accounts in their own name and in the names of their spouse and children.

Ø  The SPMs should keep sufficient nos. of SB-26(T),SB-103 & SB-3 for opening of new accounts. 

Furthermore, it is to intimate that we have already achieved the target allocated for the last financial year for your concerted effort. So all concerned are instructed maintain the same spirit from the beginning of the financial year, otherwise it will be tough on our part to achieve the target. A monthly report on revenue target may please be submitted by the end of each month to Bhubaneswar GPO as well as this office so as to reach on 2^nd of the following month.

All Sub divisional Heads should pay visit to the Post Offices under their jurisdiction and discuss with the PMs/SPMs/BPMs concerned and to prepare the action plan for achieving the target.
