No.          UN-BN / AIPEU-Gr.-C / 07-08 / 2011,                                                 Dated at  Bhubaneswar the 30th August, 2011

Sub:-      Filling up of the post of  Postmaster Grade – I falling vacant due to declination -  A suggestion regarding.

Dear Comrade,
You might be aware that in accordance with Directorate letter No.4-24/2011-SPB-II dated 09.08.2011,the Chief Postmaster General, Orissa Circle vide C O letter No. ST/26-26/2010/Gr.I PM , dated 26.08.2011 has  accepted  the declinations submitted by six officials promoted to the cadre of   Postmaster Grade – I having been declared successful in the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination for promotion to the cadre of Postmaster Grade-I held on 12th June 2011.
Evidently, all such identified offices in Orissa Circle namely Pipli, Budheswari Colony, Dhamnagar, Indupur, Balichandrapur etc.  will remain vacant till  next recruitment and be managed either by existing LSG officials if available or by P As.
In this context, it may perhaps be logical to give a proposal to the Department by Staff Side to examine and consider if willing surplus qualified candidates of the last Limited Departmental Competitive Examination for promotion to the cadre of Postmaster Grade-I held on 12th June 2011 be given appointment to fill up such vacant posts without waiting for a year or so which will not only satisfy the very purpose of creating the Postmaster Cadre on one hand but also reduce the workload on the existing staff of such identified offices and increase their efficiency on other.
Since adjustment of surplus quailed candidates still exists in LGO /  Postman  cadres, there may not be any objection perhaps.
This issue is not only confined to Orissa Circle only. This might be the situation  nation-wide. Thus, apart from taking the issue at circle level, you are also requested to put your best effort to appraise the CHQ / NFPE to take up the issue at Directorate level immediately to give justice to such willing surplus qualified candidates.

With greetings.
Comradely yours,

 ( B  SAMAL)

  1. If it is possible then kindly write such letter regarding eligibility of Postmaster Grade - I to attend IPO Examination as those people who were already completed 10 Years of service neither they are getting any extra benefit nor they are eligible for IPO/PSS GROUP 'B' Exam because others are getting such benefits
